Let me introduce you to Julia…my rain-maker. Haha, that’s just my nickname for her, because every time we scheduled a session, it rained! Even with the drizzling conditions, this girl and her mom were such amazing troopers. They trusted me as their photographer, and had such great attitudes and faith in my suggestions. I am so thankful for their willing spirits, because otherwise, we would have missed out on these shots due to cancellation. Julia was one of my ultra-busy seniors, participating in soccer, track, cross-country, flag football and senior girls club. She plans on attending Santa Fe Community College after graduation to enter the radiography program, eventually earning her certification as an ultrasound technician.
The first session I shot with Julia was out in a local flower field that blooms just once a year. We shot this session the spring of her junior year, and of course, we had rain! But she rallied, and we had a ton of fun anyways.
My next session with Julia was in the fall of 2015. I absolutely love capturing these girls all through the year and watching them grow into such amazing young women! Julia chose my Luxe Senior Session, which is my model for a day session so we shot ALL day long. For Julia’s morning session we stayed local and took advantage of our beautiful scenery. I loved chatting with her and getting to know what makes her special. I loved what her definition of true beauty is: “My definition of true beauty is being true to yourself and not allowing outside influences or past mistakes define who you truly are!”
For the second part of Julia’s session we headed out towards the beach (above) but made a stop at Washington Oaks State park first, to capture some of the pretty greenery. Finally, Julia added a spring mini to her Spokesmodel package, which allowed us to concentrate on that hard-earned cap and gown and her love of Soccer. Julia has played soccer since she was small and you can see her love for the sport when she is out on the field! Thanks, my little rain-maker for letting me document your senior year!
