Emily is one of my amazing class of 2016 seniors, as well as a member of the 2016 ACP Elite Spokesmodel team. Unfortunately, Florida got a heavy dose of rain this year (good for all the greenery in the area, not so great for us!), and we only got a few shots before we have to reschedule. We completed the session at a later time, when the whether was a little more cooperative. During Emily’s High School career, she has been very active in extra-curricular activities. She was president of Interact, heavily involved in HOSA, and she was part of the varsity cheerleading team for four years. She also participated in a duel enrollment program, which allowed her to complete college credits during high school, which was so impressive!
On our second attempt, I ran an idea by Emily for her session; to use the graffiti wall in Gainesville, FL. where the locals come and decorate it and add to it’s fun, eclectic sense. Much to my delight, Emily loved the idea! We had such a great time together (even with quite a bit of sun in her eyes, she was a trooper). I was thrilled with the way the images came out.
When I asked Emily to give me her definition of True Beauty, this is what she told me: “True beauty is not defined by how you look, it is allowing yourself to be who are you and letting yourself live freely.” I think we can all take some of that advice to heart! After graduation, Emily plans on majoring in psychology. She is still trying to decide which college she will be attending but I have no doubt Emily will be amazing which ever college she chooses! Thank you, sweet Emily, for letting me capture your beauty and joy!
